Invercargill police are asking businesses to be on the lookout for counterfeit cash, following reports of fake bank notes being used.

Police said if someone believed a person was trying to use a counterfeit note, to not accept it and notify Police. If you've already received a counterfeit note, put it in an envelope to avoid handling it further.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who has information about these counterfeit notes. Click here for information on how to spot them.
