I received a letter from the Community Development Officer, telling me that the ICC will no longer be running the Neighbourhood Support Programme. The letter thanks me for my involvement and support over the years.
Concluded in the letter is a message that we all continue to connect with our neighbours, and make our streets friendlier and safer.
Simply by waiving and saying hello over the fence, coming around to introducing yourself, when new residents in the street arrive. Catching up with neighbours for an occasional cuppa.
Now with Covid19 and level 2 in the way, this is a little more challenging to remain safe. Adhering to the Levels requirements to be aware of possible dangers if the Covid19 virus escapes.
Sharing phone numbers and email addresses are still a way of connecting with neighbours also.

On Sunday night Auckland would move down to level 2. The rest of the country would stay at level 2.

Ardern said the rest of the country needed to stay at an elevated alert level to mitigate the risk of cases leaving Auckland when interregional travel resumed. Click here to read more.
