Greymouth blaze 'deliberately lit', police say

A fire that damaged a Greymouth restaurant and three other businesses on Sunday morning was deliberately lit.

Rama Kasnati and her husband have owned the Priya Indian restaurant for 13 years. She says hearing from police that their restaurant was on fire was "horrible".

"They've got plants in 25 countries around the world and have over 40,000 employees. These guys are ready to go," Renew Energy chief executive David McGregor says.
