Good Morning

Marie from Flaxmere

๐Ÿ’Don't be upset and caught up with things or people you cannot change.
Instead, move on, let go and concentrate on what you can change.
Things that enhance your life.
You deserve to be happy. Good morning๐Ÿ’

Bit of Humour

Marie from Flaxmere

Coronavirus has turned us all into dogs. We roam the house all day looking for food. We're told 'no' if we get too close to strangers.

And we get really excited about car rides๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Good Morning Neighbourly People

Marie from Flaxmere

๐ŸŒž New Morning

Every morning rings in a new day,
Every day rings in new hopes,
Every hope rings in new desires,
And every desire rings in a new life.
Every such thought renders a new feeling,
And a good feeling defines a newer YOU.
Good Morning ๐ŸŒž

Stories from the ANZACs

ANZAC Day will be marked a little differently this year. Weโ€™ll be warm and cosy at home and The Last Post wonโ€™t start until you press play. But one thing will be the same โ€“ remembrance.

To help us remember those who served and understand what โ€˜to serveโ€™ meant, Ryman recorded their ANZAC residentโ€™s stories. Some are humorous, others are tragic and eye-opening, but they all offer insight into the courage, bravery, and determination required to serve.

What better way to remember than to read the memories of those who were there?

From Tuesday next week, on your normal collection day, we will resume kerbside recycling collection for glass, paper and cardboard only.

โ–ช๏ธPut it out on the usual collection day before 7am, but to help cope with the quantities at this time, please don't put all your stored items out all at once.

โ–ช๏ธWe donโ€™t have an exact date for when plastic and can collection will re-start. This material is sorted manually to be recycled for market, and at the moment this canโ€™t be carried out safely. As soon as the situation changes and this service can be resumed safely we will begin collecting plastic and cans again. Please continue to dispose of these items in your orange council rubbish bags, or clean and store them

โ–ช๏ธPublic recycling stations remain closed, including rural green bins.

โ–ช๏ธThe delivery of new recycling crates, which was suspended at Level 4, will resume from Tuesday next week.

โ–ช๏ธHenderson Rd transfer station remains closed to anyone but account holders. Work is underway to get it open to the public. Official council bags can be dropped off for free during opening hours.
