The annual refugee quota will lift from 1000 to 1500 by July 2020, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced this week. Before 2016 the refugee quota sat static at 750 for 30 years, well behind many other western nations. The National Government then raised it to 1000. Is it enough?

She is one hundred and one years old.
Yes that's right.
As Nana is now in the position of needing hospital care in the form of support by trained palliative carers, we are currently managing this with the help of a company and various shifts instead of the hospital care option in an aged facility as she would like to end her days at home.
Unfortunately there is gaps in the staff roll, and we need to fill these to retain continuity and keep her comfortable.
Shifts available are 2pm - 9pm daily, and some changes in shifts for morning and night care as the carer givers we have are not able to do too many days in one stretch legally either.
Please don't reply to this post UNLESS you are confident, and competent, in ALL ASPECTS of personal care at NZQA Level 3 or above.
We need to know you can show us references with experience from previous employed positions, as well as being able to fill the shifts we offer without risk of causing your own health problems, or having other interference from family or work commitments which may mean you will be unable to complete your shift.
This is a well paid position, and we look forward to hearing from anyone with the qualifications mentioned.
Alternatively if you know someone who call fill the spot that you pass on the post.
PLEASE PRIVATE MESSAGE ME YOUR REPLIES - DO NOT REPLY TO THE PUBLIC PAGE POST
many thanks

Repair and removal crews are clearing slips across SH2 between Napier and Wairoa at several sites between Raupunga and Tangoio.
They are also clearing a section of the highway affected by a dropout in the Sandy Creek area near Tutira. Temporary speed restrictions and stop-go signalling is in place at the slip sites while a temporary traffic light system has been installed around the dropout zone. Motorists can expect some delays.
On SH5 between Napier and Taupo slip work is being carried out at sites between Eskdale and Tangoio and temporary speed restrictions are in place, with similar restrictions along parts of SH38 between Frasertown and Waikaremoana, which was also hit hard by slips.
At the Glencoe Gorge on SH50 there was a dropout and a temporary give way control is in place, although travel delays would be only slight.
Contractors are also carrying out seal-widening projects on the northern stretch of SH2 around Kotemaori and between Te Hauke and Te Aute on the southern stretch of SH2, and there will be occasional delays due to stop-go signalling and speed restrictions.

I have to use my desktop to view anything or even just visit the site, as the app just won't stay open for longer than a 5 count.

Looking at the replies, it appears to be an iOS issue, possibly due to the updates not covering crash data on Apple, as has happened before. I've messaged Neighbourly about it.

This was my late father's car. He took care of it. Kept it garaged. Not had a lot of use in the last couple of years.
About 172,000 kms on the clock. Runs silky smooth with no problems that I'm aware of. Top spec model with leather interior, separate climate control for passenger, etc.

You are also welcome to join us on a Wednesday morning or even call in to see what we are doing and all that is on offer at Heretaunga Women's Centre. They have lovely clean toilets there for women to use and a great nursery if you are a Mum who needs a wee break in a space where your child can play, and where you can also feed or change your child in a clean and comfy environment.
