I hope everyone has had, or is going to have, a wonderful holiday, whatever your faith, observance, or personal beliefs.

But, moreover, I hope everyone ends their holidays safely and with appreciation for the people around them, near and far, and those they never meet, but depend upon every day.

To the unsung hero’s of today, the people who keep the lights on, the toilets flushing, the traffic moving, and our every days flowing, one after the other, in the many myriad, unseen ways, thank you. You are truly appreciated.

I always end up having a terrific chit-chat to someone in the line and it is almost like a 'mandatory rest and for my brain and natter away to those around me'.
And then, to my delight, I see others in the line that I can give a wave to, or say a quick Hello to as we come and go.
So, I wonder what your traditions are leading up to Christmas?
Whatever they are, I hope you have a peaceful time -
albiet for many I am sure, a very busy time getting ready.
Bright Blessings Neighbours and Friends
for a very safe and Happy Christmas Eve.
Warmest regards
Rhonda Diprose

This week have been delighted to discover that Plum City has re-opened (after a 5 year break).

This is their Facebook page - www.facebook.com...

Very capably run by Bex Coddington, she has a beautiful array of yellow flesh nectarines, white flesh nectarines, black splendour plums, yellow flesh plums, peaches, apricots all $6/kg and - my all time favourite - plumcots (a plum and apricot cross) - think heaven dancing on your tongue - also at $6/kg!

And cherries 🍒 $16 a kg

Located at 9 Longlands Road East, just on the left after the Te Aute Road turn off heading towards Railway Road.

And the bonus is that Bex also has a fab coffee machine so you can get your Bay Espresso coffee fix and a cookie while you stock up on fruit.

There is Eftpos connected so you can just swipe and go!

Open everyday leading up to Christmas day opening at 8am-3.30pm.

I found an interesting flyer in my letterbox. It’s a “petition” to end the Chinese government.
It is possibly one of the most racist pieces of American propaganda I’ve ever read.

Yup American.

After wending my way through their websites, I found it originates in Flushing, NY. Home of Fran Drescher, aka The Nanny.

I had wondered when I saw the face on it most definitely wasn’t Chinese, but very European.

The rubbish inside and on their websites spouts a lot of Trumpian ideals about the “Chinese Virus” and the “Demon” Chinese Communist Party bloodthirsty terrorist organisation.

While we may not support the Chinese government, or their secrecy and anti democratic policies, this rubbish is at best pointless (a foreign petition is not going to get rid of the Chinese government, only the Chinese people can), at worst inflammatory and provocative (it could be interpreted as a call to violence, and that’s never a good idea).

The only way to end a bad government is with good people. Today’s USA is a fair relevant example.

Bin this rubbish. It’s not even recyclable, due to the type of high gloss paper used.

Had a couple of unwanted people running thru our property around 1:40am this morning. Is every one else ok? They were running from something or someone. Any ideas?
