One of the ways we support the community is with DWST, our Disaster Welfare Support Teams. These teams are made up of highly committed, multi-skilled volunteers, they have a wide variety of professional backgrounds and are trained to deliver essential services during and immediately after a disaster here and around the country.
Keen on finding out more about the Hawkes Bay DWST Team, we are holding an open night for potential new members - Thursday 25 February from 7-9pm at the Red Cross Hastings Service Centre - 823 Heretaunga Street West, Hastings.
There are some criteria to join the team, to find out more please visit - www.redcross.org.nz..., don't meet the criteria, never fear there are heaps of other volunteering opportunities on our website, so go check them out!
