Civic Honours Awards
Do you know someone who devotes their time and energy to making a difference in our communities across the Hastings District?
Hastings District Council have launched the Civic Honours Awards for 2024 and are looking to recognise individuals, groups or organisations who have significantly enhanced our community.
Whether it’s volunteering, leading community initiatives, or demonstrating exceptional leadership, we want to recognise those who have truly made a difference.
Nominations are open now and can be completed online or call our customer services team on 06 871 5000.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
