Week of Prayer for World Peace 2020 (11-18 October)

David and Sandra from Saint Leonards

Although the founding of the Week of Prayer for World Peace in 1974 was a Christian initiative in the UK, it soon became an inter-faith and international activity, and now welcomes everyone of any faith, or none, to take part. On Monday 12 October, at 7.00 pm, there will be an evening of devotions, readings, music, and film about World Peace, hosted by the Hastings Baha’i community, at the Heretaunga Women’s Centre, on the corner of Eastbourne and Russell Streets, Hastings. Everyone is welcome and there is no fee. For a full list of local activities during the Week, send an email to: hbinterfaith@gmail.com

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?
