Threads Op Shop open for day of Blossom Parade - lots of specials.
Just received a poster saying Threads Op Shop in Karamu Road are opening 9 - 4pm on this Saturday (Blossom Parade day). They are usually shut on Saturdays. They have lots of very good condition clothing and shoes for $1.00, plus racks of great Designer clothing at great prices. Most childrens clothing is $1. and babies 50 cents per item. Well worth a check out if you are in town tomorrow. (Shop is next to Stanton Print , Karamu Road, close to Heretaunga St East.) Would have put up their poster, but i'm sorry, I don't know how to do it.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
Do you think this ban is reasonable?
