If we didn’t have prebiotics, probiotics would have a poor chance of survival, as some of them depending upon the strain, only last hours in our digestive systems. Prebiotics help promote the growth of good bacteria in the gut.
An easy way to think of prebiotics is that they are like a really good meal for probiotics, helping them to grow robust and strong. With the rise of diets such as the ketogenic diet, many people are bypassing their prebiotic rich foods, and their gut health is suffering.

How have spy thrillers as we know them developed? This survey of spy thriller fiction published between 1880 and 2000 sets the books in their historical context and shows how they reflect the politics of the time in which the books were published. Spy thrillers also document our own social history and reveal many important issues for us to think about. We will look at the role women characters play in spy fiction and think about why the villains in spy fiction are usually Russian.

One night a tutor called, concerned for a student having an unexpected diabetic low. Adrian had managed to devour all the Minties in the office so they had to come up with a solution. Fate has it, the Cake Decorating class was running and they always have chocolate.
So Adrian explained the situation and was given a handful of emergency chocolate. We were delighted when it was reported that the chocolate did the trick and the student was able to continue with their class that evening.

If you’re unsure of some of these terms, it really won’t help you feel confident in comparing different plans. We don’t want to see our Neighbours get tripped up and stuck with a big bill this chilly season!

I find I have to walk my dog on the road to get past and I can't begin to think how a wheelchair (pushchair too) user would manage. I take a photo of the offending cars and if they persist I'll notify the council. It's as bad as the ignorant people who think it's ok to park in a disabled car park.

How often do philosophers of ethics call their mothers? We expect philosophers (lovers of wisdom), to live up to their ideals – those involved in the pursuit of virtue and truth. With a nod to the book of the same name, this 4-week course expands on this theme and examines philosophers who’ve fallen short of this standard, beginning with Socrates and on up to modern times with thinkers like Nietzsche and Heidegger. It’s the old adage – do as I say, not do as I do.
Course begins on Wednesday mornings 11:00am-1:00pm starting 26 July 2023 (NZ time).
