You'll be highly entertained with stunning vocal harmonies in a variety show featuring the amazing quartet Instant Classic, international champions from the USA. We are lucky to have persuaded them to come here before they go to sing at the Pan Pacific Barbershop Convention in Auckland.

A $200m-plus plan to make electricity through burning rubbish is back on the cards for Te Awamutu.

Opponents say the proposed plant would be a “toxic incinerator” but Global Contracting Solutions (GCS) has applied for resource consent and says it stands by the science.

The facility proposed for Racecourse Rd would incinerate 150,000 tonnes of waste a year and generate electricity from steam, Waipā District Council said.
