Tamahere as a community has come together in partnership with Waikato District Council to develop Tamahere Park as 'the heart of the village'.
The development includes a destination-level playground, skate park, half-size basketball court and a performance stage in the new 'town … View moreTamahere as a community has come together in partnership with Waikato District Council to develop Tamahere Park as 'the heart of the village'.
The development includes a destination-level playground, skate park, half-size basketball court and a performance stage in the new 'town square', all of which sit alongside junior football, cricket and lacrosse fields. Artistic furniture in the Park created by metal sculptor Marti Wong has meanwhile been sponsored by local families and businesses.
Now the community is gathering support to install CCTV in the Park, plus shade sails over its playground - donating is a simple and effective way for individuals and companies to contribute towards making Tamahere an even better place to live and play.
Momentum Waikato is providing the online means - all donations are passed directly on to the Tamahere Park project for immediate use (not added to an investment fund as we usually do).
