Our non-meat-eating readers can rejoice, Air New Zealand is now offering the meat-free Impossible Burger to its business class flights from LA to Auckland.
But what does this mean for New Zealand farmers who contribute to New Zealand's main industry?
Some kiwis think the airline should be promoting our homegrown lamb and beef instead.
In a tweet, National MP Nathan Guy wrote, "Disappointing to see Air NZ promoting a GE substitute meat burger on its flights to the USA. We produce the most delicious steaks & lamb on the planet - GMO & hormone free. The national carrier should be pushing our premium products and helping sell NZ to the world."
What do you think?
Have you tried the Impossible Burger, and if so how does it compare to the real deal?

To reduce the number of patients in hospital and attending our clinics over the time leading up to and during the proposed industrial action we will be:
- Rescheduling appointments for surgery, treatments and outpatient clinics.
- Giving priority to emergency, critical care and maternity.
- Still providing some essential outpatient clinics such as cancer and dialysis treatments.
- Contacting all patients whose operations or clinic appointments are affected by the strike.
For patients remaining in the wards, these patients will receive higher level nursing cares only. Basic nursing duties will not be performed. We would really appreciate help from patients’ whānau and friends in the wards to provide support with washing, dressing and feeding.
Please save the hospital emergency department for emergencies only. If it’s not an emergency contact your GP, or go to an urgent care centre or call Healthline on 0800 611 116.
For further information around the strike please visit our website - www.waikatodhb.health.nz/strike Or if you have a query call toll-free 0800 276 216.

What do you think about your nurses rejecting the latest pay offer from District Health Boards? It's now been confirmed that 24 hours of strike action will begin at 7am Thursday.
A "majority" of the New Zealand Nurses' Organisation's (NZNO) more-than-30,000 members have chosen to take industrial action - a move described as "unprecedented".
What do you think about Thursday's strike? Were you surprised they rejected the last offer? Or do you think they deserve more? Let us know in the replies!
