This free event is the culmination of a year long project to capture ethnic heritage knowledge in such a way that the particular community has the resources and techniques to pass along the knowledge to the next generation, as well as the ability to share their cultural knowledge with the wider community.
This project, directed by professional puppeteer Ifat Vayner, is part of the Whiria Te Tangata programme, and is supported by Creative Waikato, EarthDiverse and The Ministry of Culture and Heritage. Please come along and celebrate the stories and artistic achievements of Hamilton’s cultural communities.
The event is free, family friendly, and fun (and there’s food!) and all are invited to attend. Please feel free to pass this information on to others in your networks.
