This course provides participants with the background necessary to make sense of the news and to understand the science behind the climate change debate. We’ll also discuss how climate change deniers and conspiracy theorists use facts to undermine the truth of our current situation here on Planet Earth.
This course is targeted for every person on the planet who is curious and wants to learn something new or a new way to think about our planet. This class is not for scientists. Suitable for anyone in high school to 90+.
Delivered as eight weekly 1.5-hour live interactive sessions via Zoom, or as video recorded sessions posted 1-2 days after each class.
Instructor: This course is taught by Shifra Gassner, MA. For the last five years, Shifra has been teaching a class called Earth Space Science to high school students in Iowa, USA. During this time she has honed in on what exactly a person needs in order to understand what is happening in the world right now in terms of global climate change. Many adults have asked about the subject matter she teaches. Only recently has Earth Science been taught at a high school level and a person may or may not have taken an Earth Science class while at University. What Shifra teaches is what a lot of people missed along the way during their formal education years. She feels strongly that with knowledge comes power and the motivation to act. She has taught many different levels and subjects over the past 20 years. She loves teaching science, especially the nature and process of science and loves nature. She spends a lot of her time outdoors painting landscapes whenever she can.

Getting residential alcohol and drug addiction treatment beds in the city would mean people don't have to travel to Auckland and their whānau could be more involved in the recovery process, King said.
He is the executive director of Hamilton’s Alcohol and Drug Community Trust, which runs a 30-bed support facility known as Manning St, and he's working to establish a local facility like Auckland's Higher Ground.

WOF and Rego expired but not taken off the road yet (? March 2023). Body has dings, scratches and some rust. Dusty and dirty interior - needs a good valet service. Runs okay - also needs a good mechanical service. Not aware of any engine repair work needed. Daughter was using this car but didn't take care for it. Dropped it off at our house late one night saying she cannot park it where she is now living. We are not on good terms and just want it gone from our property as it is taking up space in our driveway. Will add odometer reading soon. Call 0204-1577-661.
