Conference to Support Refugees

Cynthia from Cambridge

Christians Supporting Persecuted Christian Refugees is holding a conference at the Hamilton East Methodist Church on Wednesday, 11 March at 7pm.
Readers might or might not know that being Christian in Pakistan is a risky business. Persecution of Christians is very widespread, they are regarded as second class citizens. www.bbc.com...

Many flee to Thailand and Malaysia where they can be detained at the will of the government and held in immigration detention centres where life is extremely difficult.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?
