As promised, albeit seven months later than expected, the owner of Hamilton’s inner city eyesore has started a clean-up.

Te Aroha farmer Andrew Matijasevich said squatters had been moved on and the time was right to get stuck in at 728 - 750 Victoria St. It turned into an unofficial dumping ground after fire destroyed the former Calendar Girls building shortly after he bought the site in 2018.

Delmaine Fine Foods and Woolworths brand antipasto products are being recalled due to the possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes bacteria.

This includes Delmaine, Woolworths packaged antipasto products and deli antipasto mix.

"The concern with these products is that they may contain Listeria, which can cause serious illness in pregnant people and their unborn babies, newborns, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems,” says New Zealand Food Safety deputy director-general Vincent Arbuckle.

These products should not be eaten. You can return them to the place of purchase for a refund or throw them out.

Wind farm plans blown away

An expert panel also said the 13-turbine project would have “significant adverse visual effects” on neighbouring properties.

Life gave Dave Murray lemons, so he made lemonade - and eventually, pretzels and soft serve as well.

What started as a side-of-the-road lemonade stall, fundraising for a trip for his kids, turned into Murray receiving bags and bags of lemons, even after the trip was over.
