Chiefs captain Luke Jacobson has called on consistency from Super Rugby Pacific match officials, admitting he was miffed there was no punishment for the broken nose he suffered against the Crusaders last month.

The All Blacks loose forward’s start to the season has been disjointed, quite literally, after an incident early in the round-two contest put him on the sideline for a fortnight and then duly had him feeling the pinch in his return against the Blues last weekend.

And it is a case of “the three Waikatos” backing the theatre in a very literal fashion, with the names of the three community trusts soon to be adorning a plaque attached to three chairs in the 1300-seat facility.
