In this issue you’ll find:

* An interview with Renae Smart from Civtec. Civtec is a local company and just last week, Renae won the 2018 Emerging Leader award at the Westpac Business Awards.
* Lots of great wheel photos. Credit to the weathered wheel shown in this post goes to Suzy McPhail.
* Stocking filler ideas for little girls.
* Summer salad recipe from Louise Hopkins.
* Dog training support from Heather Westerby-Jones
* Christmas services at St Stephen’s Church (see ad on P7)
* Heritage stories by Graham McBride.
* Politics, Council and Community Group news from local contributors.

In January I’ll be collecting up holiday snaps from the community so I’d love it if you could send something in for page 2. Send me a snap from your phone of you or those around you taking a break from school or work: tekowhainews@gmail.com

I hope you enjoy reading this latest issue.

Kind regards

Amanda

This does not affect Lead Maternity Carers (LMCs).

Our priority is the safety of our mothers and their babies and we have plans in place to ensure women can access the services they need and are kept safe during the strike.

No women will be turned away from our delivery suite.

We expect the main impact on our maternity services to be the postponement of some ante-natal clinics. We will contact those patients directly.
