Thanks very much for the interest and replies. You have to expect some erosion from a storm of this ferocity however I have not seen it at a 2-metre cliff in the past, less than half that. Yes it was quite exhilarating to be out on the beach in the storm as long as one was wrapped up in their winter woollies. Nature knocked it down so I guess Nature will put the sand back over time as it did last time around. Cheers Terry
