The event is part of a major community fundraising effort to help save the Carterton Indoor Swimming Pool.
The aim of the CENTRAL ITM Big Swim is to collectively swim a cumulative total of one million metres to raise one million dollars. We're doing this through individual efforts and challenge events, as well as a postal swim, which can be done at any time in March from anywhere in the world.
Please support this fundraiser by helping us get the word out, or even take part yourself, to ensure the Southern Wairarapa community has access to an all year round swimming facility.

Lovely potfull of bulbs in flower at the moment.
Not sure whether its a crocus or in the crocus family. I've always known it as the rain lily.
It grows about 20 cms high from bulbs with grass like leaves and white crocus like flowers.

We had it lying on the floor lengthways and put a foam cushion on it to make it into a window seat with storage.

Old pieces of a pool fence that have been removed. They have holes for various parts of a gate latch or hinges, so wont be much use as a pool fence but if someone wants to make a table top out of it??...
