Bright orange flowers which come out in January after a lot of the other lilies giving a splash of colour in the garden. Petals curve backwards showing the stamens in typical Tigerlily fashion. Tolerant of most conditions and soils though they do like compost and richer soils. Die down in winter and come up again in the Spring. They do multiply but not invasive. Grow to a metre and half one to two metres high. Could be left in it's pot till next season or eased into the ground out of its pot. Pickup is in Kuripuni.
The first person who said they wanted it couldnt pick it up so the flowers are finishing now after blooming for two weeks, but next year it will be all go again. The last picture is of the parent plant.

Hokitika has been named the most welcoming town in NZ in Booking.com's 10th annual Traveller Review Awards.
Would be keen to hear from those who live there or who have visited whether they think the town really is exceptionally friendly. What makes it a welcoming place, or otherwise? Were there any cafes, restaurants, shops or other places you received a particularly warm welcome?
Lake Tekapo and Oamaru came in second and third place respectively, followed by Cambridge, Picton, Invercargill, Martinborough, Kerikeri and Palmerston North. Would also love to hear from you if you have thoughts on these places. Please include 'NFP' (not for publication) in your comment if you don't want it to appear in a travel article.
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts?

Councillors have now been asked to approve up to $600,000 of unbudgeted funds to repair and reinforce it urgently.
If the works are not done in time and the pipe fails, Featherston residents will be without water, and South Wairarapa ratepayers could foot a bill of between $850,000 and $6.5 million for an emergency contingency plan to truck water in, depending on the nature and length of the outage and river conditions.
