If this sounds like your cup of tea then hurry as there are a handful of tickets remaining for the Blackwell & Sons National Tweed Ride on Saturday afternoon 8 April.

All you could possibly want to know and tickets can be found at blackwellandsons.nz... And you can watch mad mob head out at the beginning of the ride at 85 West Street at 1pm on Saturday (the carpark behind the South Wairarapa Workingmen's Club).

The Tweed Ride is a fabulous spectator sport! See well dressed folk and decorated bicycles as 200 riders take off. Top class old school fun! To be sure - there's nothing else like it in New Zealand.

Large red mat, edges bound.

Joan from Masterton District

This mat is in sound condition. It measures 220 by 160, quality cut pile and edges are bound.

Depending on what you want to use it for it would be fine as is but a little freshen up would make it almost as new.

In the photo it looks wrinkled by I had just unrolled it and a vaccum or lying flat for a while will smooth it out.

It comes from a smoke free home and been in dry storage for a few years. Time to move it on.

Pickup is in Kuripuni.

Thanks for looking.

Greytown’s National Tweed Ride is in tippy-top shape for its nearly 200 trend-setting tweedsters for their unashamed showing off on Saturday afternoon. Watch the mad mob depart at 1pm from the Greytown Working Persons’ Club Carpark on West Street – opposite Fresh Choice supermarket.

Molewood Orchard, Greytown. It's harvest season and you're welcome to bring a bag or bucket, and pick your own apples for only $2 per kg! Saturday 8 - Monday 10 April. Why not bring along a picnic lunch as well and make a day of it. Sunscreen, sturdy footwear and hats are good ideas too!

Our wonderful staff at the Masterton and Martinborough i-SITES will be manning their stations over Easter and ever willing and ready to help. Please note - Masterton’s i-SITE office will be closed on Sunday.
