Near-naked 73-year-old ice skates on frozen Otago lake to celebrate birthday
G-string? Check. Frozen reservoir and skates? Check and check. Welcome to Keith Dickson’s cool birthday bash.
The Dunedin man turned 73 last week and decided to mark the occasion by ice skating on Poolburn Reservoir, in Central Otago, about a two-hour drive from Dunedin.
‘’I always go skating around my birthday ... and I always go in my birthday suit.’’

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
