If the answer is a 'no' or perhaps an initial 'yes' followed by an 'I've changed my mind', then who gets to keep the ring? And what are the consumer ins and outs of trying to get a refund on a diamond sparkler?
We're looking for individuals who are happy to share their story of a ring return: perhaps the break up was acrimonious and you've tried to cash in the ring yourself, or maybe your ex disappeared with the sparkler, never to be seen again. If you've got a story, please share it below (please add NFP if you don't want it used in print). And if you've got a really good story that'll take a little longer, please email kelly.dennett@stuff.co.nz.

Many people setting up paddling pools for their children this summer will be breaking the law - are you one of them?
Any pool, fixed or portable, deeper than 400mm is now subject to safety provisions under the Building Act, meaning there a quite a few rules you probably aren't even aware of.
For example, do you have a 1.2-metre fixed childproof fence with a self-closing gate opening outwards?
What are your thoughts on paddling pool safety? If faced with an inspection, would your pool set-up pass? Do you think all these rules are essential? What are your tips for setting up a paddling pool safely?

The children are in School and Kindy so would prefer to not have to change them again if possible. My daughter doesn't drive and as her partner will be in full time study she needs to be able to drop off and pick up the girl's on foot so on the flat would obviously be preferred if possible. This poor young family have been living in a motel since the beginning of August as they have had no luck getting a house. Their time is pretty much up to be able to stay at the motel so thing's are obviously extremely desperate as they have no where to go. This young family needs someone to give them a chance to give them a place to call home, they need stability the children need some grass to play on and their little dog needs his family back. There must be someone out there that can help. Please please help my young family 😔
