Police took Heff's Hotel publican Stephen Clark and the company that owned the hotel, PC Bar Ltd, to the Alcohol Regulatory and Licensing Authority (ARLA) late last month.
This came after concerns over intoxicated patrons, lack of menu items and previous indiscretions including a gang wake leading to a brawl, and opening on Christmas Day, meant ARLA cancelled the bar's licence on July 31, and Clark's manager's certificate "with immediate effect".

Council inspectors found that while the tree house did not breach the privacy of the neighbours across the back fence, it did fail Building Code requirements. The council had concerns over the barriers, its structure, durability and access to stairs, ladders and handrails.
