Peacefully at Wellington Hospital, on 22nd April 2023, surrounded by family. Loving husband of Janke; beloved father and father-in-law of Annie and Geoff, John and Jo. Deeply loved Grandpa to Jade and Troy. Much loved eldest son of the late Maurice and Clara Franklin, and brother of Ian, Margaret, and Lindsay. A private cremation was held on 26th April 2023. FRANCE, Leslie Benjamin (Les)

(1RNZIR) On April 27, 2023, surrounded by his beloved family. Dearly loved husband of Margaret for 64 years. Much loved and respected father of Neil and Karen, Glenn and Jacqui, Bev and Greg Kitto. Much loved Poppa of his 10 grandchildren and his 10 great-grandchildren.
Now sitting at the feet of Jesus.
A service to celebrate the life of Les will be held at Majestic Church, 189 Durham Street, on Wednesday, May 3, at 11.30am.

Passed away peacefully on 26 April 2023, at Waikato Hospital with family at her side. Loved wife of Ewan, loved mother and mother-in-law of Graeme and Heather Allen, and Murray Allen and Jane Melville- Allen. Loved Grandmother of Paul and Petra Allen, and Georgia and Justin Clark. Loved Great-Grandmother of Porscha and Prada Allen, and Darcy Clark. A service to celebrate her life will be held at All Saints Community Church, 191 Sandwich Rd, Hamilton, at 1.00pm, on Friday 5 May. Aged 79. Unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday 26th April 2023 in Hamilton, with Bill by her side. Much loved wife of Bill. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Aaron & Tonya, Jere & Natasha. Dearly loved Nana of Letitia & Dan, Levi, Hadley, Sienna, Olivia & Dwayne. A service to remember Gill’s life will be held at Hillcrest Chapel, Corner of Masters Ave and Morris Road, Silverdale, Hamilton, on Tuesday 2nd May 2023 at 2.00pm.

PALFREYMAN, Joyce Elizabeth

On April 25, 2023 (peacefully) at Palmerston North Hospital. Aged 85 years. Dearly loved wife and best friend of the late Raymond. Loved Mum and mother-in-law of Kevin and Pam (Palmerston North), Martin and Yvonne (Christchurch), John and Anne (Wellington). Loved Nana of David and Kelsey, Amos, Daniel and Rebekah, Ruth, Philip, Luke, Amber and Scott, Ryan, Joshua, Laura. Nana Joyce of Grace and Joshua, Jemima and Fox, Theo and Arlo. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Margaret, Peter and Connie, Tony (deceased) and Deidre and families (England), and Nana Joyce to many others!

A celebration of Joyce’s life will be held at Gateways Christian Fellowship, 174 Church Street, Palmerston North, on Monday, May 1, at 10.00am, thereafter interment 1pm, at the Kelvin Grove Cemetery, Palmerston North. CLARK, Anna Mary

Unexpectedly, but peacefully, after a valiant fight against illness at Waikato Hospital on 26th April 2023, aged 73. Much loved wife of Andrew for 50 years and 4 days. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Alistair and Kerrin, Rachel and Stu. Treasured Nana at the farm of Christian, Kate and Ethan, Cian and Izzak. A Service for Anna will be held at Alexandra House Chapel, 570 Alexandra St, Te Awamutu, on Tuesday, 2nd May at 11.00am, followed by private cremation. Of Wellington. Mum peacefully passed away on 25th April 2023 in the presence of her family. Beloved wife of Ronald (deceased). Amazing mother and mother-in-law of Nicola & Biff (Australia), Andrew & Christine, Julie & Peter, Melanie & Toby. Much loved grandmother and grandmother-in-law of Thomas, Charlie & Lucy, Jack & Beccy, Molly and Casper. Big sister and sister-in-law to Noeline & Rick Keeling (deceased), Helen & Denys Wright, Bob & Maggie Smith, and Aunt to their children.

Passed away peacefully at Ngaio Marsh Retirement Village, on April 26, 2023, aged 86 years. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Angela and Kevin Bonniface, Martin, Joanne and Heemi, and Simon, loved nana of Troy and Gina Bonniface; Amy and Daniel Ridgway; Veninka, Hana, James, Jimmy, and Jess; and Jessie, and Luke, loved great-nana of Tailah Bonniface, Alex Amphlett, Mika, and Khloe Bonniface, and Arora, loved sister of Rhonda, John, and Jill. IRWIN, Barbara Elizabeth

After a long and inspirational battle with cancer, our beloved Barbara finally passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at home with Norman by her side. Her motivation during this dark time was always the ones around her. On behalf of Barb’s family they would like to thank everyone for the unrivalled support and respect shown to their beloved wife, mother, nana, aunty and friend. With special mention to the team at Southland Hospital, Hospice Southland, Cancer Society, District Nurses (especially Sara) and Bluff Medical Centre.
She will be sadly missed by all and forever in our hearts.
A private cremation service has been held. At a later date Barbara’s ashes will be laid to rest at Greenpoint Cemetery.

Aged 48 years. Our dearest Dan passed away in Rarotonga due to an accident. In accordance with Dan’s wishes, he has been brought back home to Wellington. A private cremation and celebration of Dan’s life took place earlier this week. Much loved eldest son of Peter and Kay, loved dearly by his brothers Matt, Jono, Josh and their families. Loved and treasured husband of Liv, and awesome loving Dad to Jette, Holly, and Taylor.

Passed suddenly on April 27, 2023; aged 65 years. A much loved brother of Michael and Meg, husband of Glynis, and father of Richard and James. Guardian of his cats past and present. Stephen lived his life with tenacity and determination, and his personal and professional legacy will be remembered by those who knew him. Formerly of the Ministry of Works, Christchurch, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2023, at Avonlea Dementia Home, in his 91st year. Dearly loved husband of Cynthia, for 64 years. A very much loved father and father-in-law of Carolyn and Tom Ark, and Glenda and family. The family wish to thank Avonlea Dementia Home for the care extended to Graham over the last 4 years.
