Our dog-control service is 90% funded by registration fees, and helps keep all dogs in the District safe. Unfortunately the service has not been able to keep up with all the issues reported recently, and we’ve had to increase fees this year to cover costs.

About half of all dog owners have renewed their registrations for the year - ka pai! We encourage all dog owners to register now, avoid penalties and do their bit for local dog control. Late payments after 31 July 2021 are more expensive but still required, so it makes sense to register as soon as you can.
