A slip caused by heavy rain has closed a section of SH6 north of Murchison. There's a detour in place that sends motorists right onto SH63 through St Arnaud, then left onto Korere-Tophouse Road and continues to SH6, with the reverse in place for southbound traffic. Have you been affected?

The stretch of road near Murchison is expected to be closed for some time while agencies work to clear it. Police advise motorists to delay travel or avoid the area.
