There will be stage performances, activities and a range of food stalls. Event entry and activities are free . As well as all this fabulous entertainment , 2 of our wonderful volunteers will be there manning the CAB stall so why not say hello. If you are looking to get into volunteer then look no further ! We are currently recruiting for volunteers for our North and City Branches. Today's FUN DAY event at St. Columbia's Church Main North Road, has been postponed due to Mother Nature having a small hissy fit and hiding the sun and deciding to water the gardens instead.

The challenges range from physical (like tug-of-war) to mental (like the memory challenge) to knowledge-based (like the music challenge) to fun (like painting with Resene colours).

Sunday 16 February, 11am to 3pm, 303 Radcliffe Road, Styx Mill
Have a fun day in the sun whilst exploring one of Christchurch's brand-new regional parks with the Styx Living Laboratory Trust. Kayaking, guided walks, bird and water monitoring, planting, scavenger hunt, weaving and much more.
Music at Edmond Gardens
Sunday 16 February, noon to 4pm, Edmonds Factory Garden, 359 Ferry Road. An afternoon of free live music, afternoon teas $2.00. Chairs and/or rugs to sit on advised. Art display with plants and cards for sale. Free bouncy castle for children. Cancelled if wet.
Chinese New Year Parade
Sunday 16 February, 3pm to 5pm, Bridge of Remembrance to Cathedral Square. Organised by the Christchurch Chinese community to share the most important Chinese annual celebration. The parade from the Bridge of Remembrance to the Square through Cashel Street will be followed by performances by the paraders. Free.

Our skies have been coloured by smoke blown over from the Australian bushfires, meanwhile Wellingtonians are just stoked if they get to see the sun.

He is a small, slender black cat, has large amber eyes and is wearing a grey collar with a metallic blue disc with his name and my number. Bobby has a congenital deformity of his back legs so they are half the size than normal. Please keep a look out, please take the time to check garages, sheds etc. I am so worried about him being out there with his condition and with the heat on top.
