We understand it is frustrating for you not knowing when the boil water notice will be lifted. Even though tests have shown water is free from E.Coli, the boil water notice remains in place while we wait for residual chlorine to flush from the water supply network.

Once that is confirmed, we need clear results over three consecutive days to confirm the treatment has been fully successful. It is important we follow this process in conjunction with the Medical Officer of Health.

Another QUINCE recipe

No Sugar Quince Chutney

3 pears diced
one large quince diced
1cm ginger
1/2c raisins
shake of black pepper
Chilli to taste

No Sugar Quince Chutney

3 pears diced
one large quince diced
1cm ginger
1/2c raisins
shake of black pepper
Chilli to taste
1/2c any vinegar
1/2tsp plain salt
1 small sliced lime or lemon (optional)

Cook all in slow cooker on high for around 4 hours. May be thickened with a 2tsp cornflour. Keeps well in fridge or jars.
