This month we’re celebrating the diverse array of people who call New Zealand home. Regardless of our different faiths, abilities, cultures, nationalities, ages, orientations and even genders - we want to make sure that our communities are safe and welcoming for all.

There’s many ways to take part! From hosting a multicultural potluck where each attendee brings a dish from a country of their choice to coordinating a fundraiser that benefits refugees or our elderly there are thousands of ways big and small to make our households, neighbourhoods, schools and businesses even more inclusive. It could even be as simple as learning from a neighbour how to say ‘hello’ in their native language or ensuring local footpaths are accessible!

Don’t forget this month also coincides with Women’s Refugee Awareness Month and International Day of Friendship on July 30th - a United Nations day that promotes the role that friendship plays in promoting peace in many cultures.

Want to share your thoughts? Let us know how you’re making your community more inclusive this month by tagging us in your posts + using the following hashtag so we can see what you get up to:

Yet it is not part of our school curriculum.

Some experts say that has to change. It is such an existential threat that not to make it a requirement to teach children about climate change is doing them a great disservice, they say.

Selling 6 domestic / pet ducks

ROLLESTON

Price is for all ducks

I have 6 ducks that we need to rehome due to changes in circumstances.
We have had all 6 ducks from new born and they are all between 2 and 3 years old.

We have one male/drake and 6 females/ducks

1 male Indian runner duck
1 female Indian runner duck
2 female Indian runner / muscovy ducks (Cross)
2 female Khaki Campbell ducks

All ducks are healthy and happy.
They live free range (in aviary at night)
They will not fly away, but the Muscovy ducks can all jump a 1 meter high fence if you do not clip the wings
They lay eggs in the spring and summer.
Egg sizes vary between very large and very small

Each breed of duck are related so breeding should be done with other ducks.

They eat grain all year around, layer pellets in the spring and summer.
They eat most human food scraps (Don't give them unhealthy stuff)
They love bananas. Yes, its true (:

They don't make too much noise, but they do quack when scared or hungry.

If you would like to know more then please contact me.

Looking to rehome as soon as practical.
Ducks will not be sold for eating or to anyone who will not look after them. And they must be homed somewhere that has space for them.

The ducks can be moved in boxes, but you will need a large car to fit them all in. Or more then one trip.

Please call or message me on 020 4087 5352

Price: $50

Ambitious proposals for a memorial to the March 15 terror attack response include a large ornamental water feature, a playground and a conference centre.

The New Zealand Federation of Islamic Associations has drawn up concept plans for a memorial to "capture the legacy of how New Zealanders all came together as one" after the shootings at two Christchurch mosques.

The architecture firm behind the concept plans, Apa Architects in Rotorua, estimated the project would cost between $10 million and $15m to build.
