Small businesses are vital to the recovery of our economy.

During the Covid-19 restrictions, business owners have shown initiative, hard work and resilience to keep afloat.

But many have been hit hard.

Lack of clarity about just how heavy the toll of the restrictions have been on individual businesses and their ability to quickly rebound adds to the uncertainty of the national economic recovery.

Therefore, Prosper is launching a survey targeted at finding out the scale of Covid-19's impact.

You can take that survey right now – it will only take a few minutes.

Pursuing a 0 per cent rates increase will have an "enormous impact" on the Christchurch community, city councillors warn.

A planned $34 million swimming pool and library development in Hornby could be delayed, the cost of a swim could go up and so could library charges, community grants could get the chop, and the New Brighton hot salt water pools could remain closed — everything is being considered to save money, but nothing is likely to be decided without another round of community consultation.

So what do you think? Would you want to pay more for services and public facilities, or would you prefer to have a higher rates bill? Or do you think there's any other way the council should save money? Read more here and tell us what you think in the comments below.

As a result of the announcement that New Zealand will be entering Level 2 this week, we are pleased to advise that our office will be back open to the public from Thursday 9am onwards.
We ask that all clients entering our office maintain at least a 1m distance from our staff and each other, and that you sanitise your hands on arrival (hand sanitiser will be available at the front desk).
This means that we can now resume face-to-face consultations with clients in person, and we can therefore take appointments for meetings with our advisers as normal. However, for anyone who wishes to continue social distancing as much as possible, we are still offering online Skype and Zoom meetings in addition to physical meetings. This option will be given to all clients upon booking, so please just let us know which option you prefer and we will be happy to accommodate your preference.

Thank you all for your continued support and we hope to see some of you this Thursday.

Hello everyone,

Our cat Marley went missing 12 days ago and he hasn’t returned home yet (he’s never done this before).

If you see him, or you have him please get in touch as we are desperate to have our fur baby back home with us. 😔

Please check your sheds, garages, gardens and under your deck in case he is hiding anywhere and too scared to come out.

I will attach a link below of the post I have put all over Facebook (this includes images of him and a little explanation)

www.facebook.com...

He is a grey and white domestic short hair kitty. 18 months old, desexed, microchipped.

He is extremely loved and missed.

Please share around to help us get our Marley home to us safe and sound.

Thank you everyone
