We're backing schools to set up walking buses and other solutions, with parents and volunteers helping local kids get to class safely.
We wrote to the nation's mayors pleading with them to lower speed limits outside schools, and many have come back to us with expressions of support. We talked to well-known New Zealanders with school-aged kids, and they united behind the campaign.
You can get involved too. We know people are busy, so the Sunday Star-Times and Neighbourly are encouraging families to choose one day a week when they and their kids walk, scoot, cycle - even ride a horse if that's what works for you!

If you are a MALE BETWEEN THE AGES OF 18 AND 35 you will be eligible to participate.
As a form of incentive for participating, you are welcome to provide your email address at the end of the questionnaire to go into the draw to win a choice of supermarket, mall or petrol voucher. A total of 17 incentives will be rewarded.
10 winners will receive a $20 voucher of their choice
4 winners will receive a $50 voucher of their choice
2 winners will receive a $100 voucher of their choice
1 winner will receive a $200 voucher or their choice

The questionnaire is anonymous, and you will not be identified as a participant. You may withdraw your participation, including withdrawal of any information you have provided, until your questionnaire has been added to the others collected. Because it is anonymous, it cannot be retrieved after that.
