I also have a couple of ladies that bring other projects and I help them with those. Everyone works at their own pace and the classes are very relaxed and fun. I attach a couple of photographs. The first is a beginners quilt and each square teaches you a different technique. the second a fun class using a favourite fabric that you don't want to cut into small pieces. The third is an applique table runner.

Calicivirus will be released in the Christchurch red zone to cull the fast-growing wild rabbit population, prompting a warning for pet rabbit owners to vaccinate their animals.

A jump in the number of rabbits counted on the Crown-owned land since last year has led to the pest control measure. Calicivirus K5, a Korean variant of the virus introduced in other parts of New Zealand last year, will be used.

The virus will be released through crushed carrot drops beginning in four weeks' time, starting with uncontaminated carrots so the rabbits get used to them.

About a quarter of those surveyed said they would consider to moving to the central city at some stage, with the biggest proportion preferring to wait until the rebuild is finished.

The main factors for those considering whether to move to the central city were lifestyle factors, the type of housing available, having parking available, finding value-for-money housing in the central city periphery, noise, cost of living, and traffic.
