Chicken is a popular dish for many Kiwi families. But are you happy to pay the extra cost for free-range or organic chicken? If so, why do you fork out extra for it? Although buying free-range chicken might be an ethical choice for many, it's not necessarily any healthier than other chicken.

A scammer pretending to be a school principal is targeting staff at schools and universities.

Police are investigating a scam that targeted school administration staff who were emailed by a person purporting to be the school's principal. The email asked them to purchase App Store or iTunes gift cards, scratch them and provide the numbers via email, a police statement on Wednesday said.

Three educational facilities had been targeted in mid-October, a police spokeswoman said. Police would not identify the schools involved. Read more here
