Hello. My name is Emma and i work for WanderSearch Canterbury Charitable Trust.
WanderSearch Canterbury supports vulnerable individuals who are at risk of going missing to live healthy, active lifestyles, in the communities they love.
We support vulnerable individuals who are at risk of going missing by supplying radio frequency devices that can be worn by the individual and allow them to be found quickly by NZ Police and Land Search and Rescue, should they go missing.

We work with all age groups and conditions e.g. dementia, autism and brain injury to name a few. A device provides peace of mind for the individual and their families that should they go missing there are methods to assist in locating them quickly.

WanderSearch Canterbury strongly believes that income should not be a barrier to receiving this vital support which is why we supply devices on a loan basis.

You can learn more about our devices here: www.wandersearch.nz...

If this sounds like something you are interested in, you can get in touch by emailing info@wandersearch.nz or call 03 907 0072.

The Southerner passenger train will be resurrected if The Opportunities Party (TOP) wins a seat at the general election, its leader says.

TOP’s transport policy, released on Wednesday, pledges support for a five year trial of The Southerner, the passenger rail service between Christchurch and Invercargill which ended in 2002.

TOP leader and Ilam candidate Raf Manji said the trial would operate between Christchurch and Dunedin, stopping in towns like Timaru and Ashburton along the way.

Depending on demand, it could operate five to seven days a week and do two or three return journeys a day. TOP has estimated the cost at $100 million, based on the costings of the Hamilton to Auckland train service, Te Huia.

What do you think? Should the service be reinstated? Read reporter Sinead Gill's full story here (subscription required) and let us know what you think in the comments below.
