Hi all, we've received mail (probably a Xmas card) to our address but it's not for us. It's addressed to "The McClellands" and the sender is "The Jackson's". There is no return to address. Please contact me if you can help get this mail to the right people.
Thought I heard the wind starting up as I had the window open tonight...took me a few minutes to realise it was the new northern corridor! Whats everyone's thoughts on it so far? Is it much louder where you are?

Orders for retail items can be placed on our website during this time and will be shipped on Tuesday 29th December.

Sadly Maureen died of motor neurone disease earlier this year. The lights, at 650 Shands Rd, are open again this year though, until December 30. $5 entry per person. Read more here.

We hope the season brings you lots of love, family time and happiness.
For many of us its a welcome end to 2020.
Its been a tough year for many and we are acutely aware many families are not able to be together this holiday season. Luckily for us all our children will be with us for our camping trip Jan 4th, including Patrick's 2 from Tauranga and even our 171/2 year old will grace us with her presents. We also have a few extras with some friends and boyfriend tagging along for a family holiday. We suspect it may be more chaos than relaxing as the parents but know with teenagers we are incredibly spoilt they actually want to spend time with us.
Patrick is available for all urgent jobs over the holiday season....all power, heating, ovens, hot water etc.
Non stat days right thru he is working so happy to do any jobs.
In the week we are away from Jan 4th still ring us for urgent jobs we have back up organized.

The bathroom fan also just vents into the roof space. So if you are able to access your roof space, it might be worth checking. Makes me wonder how many issues with mould and damp in New Zealand homes are caused by this kind of thing. Take care and Merry Christmas!

One 270-metre stretch of bus lane in the Garden City cost drivers more than half a million dollars in fines in just 12 months.
Nearly 6000 fines worth a total of $740,250 have been dished out for driving or parking in the city's bus lanes since the end of November last year, with just one bus lane responsible for well over half of that.
The stretch between Mona Vale and Deans Ave on Riccarton Rd, which opened in late 2018, has proven a major money-maker for the Christchurch City Council, netting the authority more than $560,000 in just 12 months. A total of 3828 fines were issued to drivers caught in the lane – an average of 319 a month.
