Heimdal Security software is a proactive solution used to combat the rise of ransomware that is targeting both businesses and home users without conscience at an exponential rate.

Antivirus looks for files and actions, whereas Heimdal Security software looks at traffic in and out of your computer. It is used as an extra layer of protection to run alongside your current antivirus software for a more advanced defence system against second generation malware, preventing the payload from hackers from ever being delivered by blocking any dangerous traffic to the payload server.

Hey neighbours, did you know...

Ivan Donaldson first planted a small vineyard in Canterbury soil in the seventies as a hobby.

The vineyard was one of the first ones to be planted in the region and quickly turned into a love of wine for the former neurologist, who sought to pursue winemaking as a full-time career.

This year, the family celebrates three decades since Ivan first released a Pegasus Bay vintage from his garage, with the responsibility now resting on eldest son and winemaker Mat Donaldson, who has since produced the next 27 of the family’s 29 vintage wines.

The winery now exports to more than 25 countries.

Three red light cameras will be switched on later this year to catch motorists illegally running through intersections in Christchurch.

A red light camera was installed at the intersection of Bealey Ave and Madras St in 2018, but it had only been used to collect data and no infringements had been issued from it.

A Christchurch City Council spokesman said two more red light cameras would be installed in the third quarter of this year: one at the intersection of Manchester St, Pilgrim Pl and Moorhouse Ave, and the other at the intersection of Gasson St, Madras St and Moorhouse Ave.

Infringements would start being issued from all three cameras after the new ones were installed, a police spokesperson said.
