Now we have been doing so many heatpumps we needed more space so we have largely retired the Elusion Red ute and upgraded to being a man with a van. Still has plenty of red, same quality service and same high quality services.

One of our clients has drawn us these awesome pictures of Patrick and his new van! Shan just loves the likeness.

While the weathers getting warmer you may want to think about upgrading or new installation of heatpumps for keeping you cool during summer....we hear its ment to be a hot dry one so get in quick for one of our free quotes with a smile.

Also great timing to think about your outdoor entertainment lighting, outdoor plugs for swimming pools, spas, or garden tools. Get in quick to avoid being dissapointed before your Christmas holidays

As always give us a call on 021525123, or elusionelectrical@gmail.com . Remember to mention if you have a gold card, or CDHB member for your discount.

Have a great week

The www.nzflyingdoctors.co.nz... |New Zealand Flying Doctors| are only partly government funded, and it is only with the kindness and generosity of the community that we can continue to deliver this life-saving service. With mission numbers increasing each year, the need is greater than ever before.

Today we are asking you to support missions for neonatal and paediatric patients - with over 70 missions a year for children under 15 years of age, we are focused on getting each and every one of them the right medical care.

Proposed options costing about $12.5 million addressing erosion and flood risk in Southshore and South New Brighton will be considered by the Christchurch City Council on Thursday.

The council is proposing to replace or cover structures along the estuary edge in Southshore to reduce erosion risk. They say this approach has community support, and would also significantly improve the appearance of the estuary edge.

To reduce the risk of flooding in Southshore, council recommend the construction of an 11.4 RL bund close to the current Land Information New Zealand bund.

In South New Brighton, council proposes restoring the estuary edge with a cobble beach.

To reduce the flooding risk, council recommends a new bund be set up to 100 metres from the estuary edge within South New Brighton park, between the jetty near Beatty St and the southern end of the campground in Halsey St.

These options are in response to several council resolutions from August last year regarding earthquake legacy issues.

The proposed options to address erosion and flooding risk are forecast to cost about $12.5 million. The draft 2021-31 long term plan allows for $10.5m.

Three pedestrian and cycle bridges crossing the Ōtākaro Avon River are a step closer to reality after the Christchurch City Council's finance and performance committee gave the green light to proceed with their design, procurement and construction.

The Medway St and Snell Pl bridges reinstate a pedestrian/cycle connection across the Ōtākaro Avon River, which has been missing since the earthquakes.

The Avondale Bridge is a new bridge that will provide a connection to the future Eastern Reach wetland restoration area.

The three bridges, and a new riverside landing in Dallington, are being funded by a $13.7 million grant from the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal Trust.

Finance and performance committee chair and deputy mayor Andrew Turner said the bridges will help reconnect communities on each side of the Ōtākaro Avon River.

All three bridges will be single-span, made from steel truss, with concrete decks and sliding, jackable abutments.

Work on constructing the bridges is expected to start in early 2021.

Whether you're into fine dining, fast food, beer and wine or eating sustainably, Christchurch has the place for you.

The city’s reputation as a hospitality hub is steadily growing as new food spots crop up while established spots continue to prosper.

The latest batch of outstanding hospitality venues were recognised at the Canterbury Hospitality Awards on Monday evening.

Popular wine bar Cellar Door was named supreme establishment of the year; barbecue joint Smokey T's claimed the people’s choice award; Child Sister won the outstanding café award and OGB won best bar for the fourth year running.

The Vagabond Chefs won the community award for their efforts following the Covid-19 alert level 4 lockdown. They contributed regular donations of resources and food to Christchurch City Mission and KidsCan to help those most in need.

In the individual categories, Inati eatery chef Simon Levy took out outstanding chef of the year, Charles Guillotine Gillet of The Last Word claimed bartender of the year, whilst barista of the year went to Fumihiko Takai of Espresso Studio by Fushoken, in Riverside Market.
