Christchurch correspondent Mary Lovell-Smith planted native mistletoe. It's not quite ready this Christmas, but it was for a good cause, and surely that's good enough for this festive season?
It's that lovely time of year when we start to think about gifting to others.
You may notice the Christmas Trees in Kaiapoi - at New World, The Library and at WestPac. As always, we are in need gifts for kids who would normally go without over the holidays.

You may notice the Christmas Trees in Kaiapoi - at New World, The Library and at WestPac. As always, we are in need gifts for kids who would normally go without over the holidays.
Please remember the teenage/older brothers and sisters as they often get forgotten. And please donate new and quality gifts.
Each year we get sacks and sacks of poor condition preloved toys that we can not pass on. Please recycle these gifts at opshops and not under the tree. As a result we have to check all gifts and repackaged before going out, as we can not risk a child receiving something in disrepair.
Thank you for supporting us to ensure no child gets forgotten this Christmas.
Our Christmas Tree is now up in the office- remember we are collecting gifts for Ronald McDonald House this year and these can be bought into our office and placed under the tree for collection.
We look forward to seeing lots of smiling faces at Christmas time.
