If the warranty has ended, it doesn't mean your rights have!

A warranty is extra to the protections in the Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA) and can’t override or replace these. This means a retailer can't just say you're out of luck because the warranty period has ended.

The CGA says that products have to be of an acceptable quality which means they must be fit for purpose (or do what they're made to do), last for a reasonable amount of time, be safe, and be free from any minor defects. What is “acceptable quality” is based on what you could reasonably expect taking into account things like the nature of the goods, what you paid for them, and any particular statements made about the goods.

If you have a problem with something you’ve bought and the warranty period has ended, you might still be entitled to have it repaired or replaced. Check out our information on your rights as a consumer or phone CAB on 0800 367 222.

The Movie; "M V TUHOE, FROM ICON TO DESTRUCTION" has been released on DVD and Blu-ray!

This film; “M V Tuhoe, From Icon To Destruction,” covers the story of the last days of the MV Tuhoe, a 96 year old Auxiliary Schooner that had a long and colourful history, which sadly ended with her demise on the beach at Kairaki, on that fateful day, the 27th of September 2015

The loss of the MV TUHOE on the Waimakariri River Bar on the 27th of September 2015 was a tragic event for the people of Kaiapoi and in fact, for the nation as a whole.
The crowds who lined the beaches watched in horror as the grand old lady was sent back to the dust from whence she came.

This video, produced by WHITE BUS FAMILY PRODUCTIONS delves deep to shed light on why this lovely old ship grounded and was broken up in such clear calm weather. What will we find?
There's only one way to find out....... buy a DVD for $34.95 or a Blu-ray for $44.95 of the film.
Running Time: 82 Minutes Duration
If you need any more details, let me know.

Price: $34.95

Hiya neighbors. I am looking to find some part time employment in the Kaiapoi/Rangiora area, however I will certainly look at places further afield as well.
I am a fully qualified signwriter with over 40 years of experience. I am also a Graphic Designer but with a flare for large format advertising, however I also enjoy setting up flyers, posters & creating corporate imaging for business cards & logos etc.
I have owned a large sign company in the past & am a skilled project manager. I have used Corel X7, Photoshop & Illustrator as design tools.

I am very versatile & still keen to learn (after all these years!).

If anyone is interested, or knows of someone who may be, please get in touch, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks to all. Lynda Whitehead.
