Suggested day out (particularly for those with Gold Card benefits) make a group, travel to Lyttelton, catch the ferry to Diamond Harbour, enjoy a picnic and the local coffee, return on the ferry and regular bus home. For the fit and able the Bridle Path walk or the Gondola is/are accessible from the Lyttelton service.
