Since the 1st January we have taken on 105 cats & kittens in just 24 days! 🙀

😿And in just 24 days our January vet bill is already over $17,000! 😿

This our latest kitten to arrive in care who was trapped this morning she has joined her 2 siblings and we are hoping to get the last one soon!

As we have so many cats and kittens coming through our care we are going through a lot of litter! We need pellet fuel (the most economical litter) ASAP.
We are currently going through two to three 15kg bags per week!

If anyone could donate some and drop off please email us for an address catrescue.chch@gmail.com😽

Pellet fuel can be purchased at PAK'nSAVE or hardware stores, but currently not at Bunnings until winter. The 15kg bags of 'on fire' are $8.99 at PAK'nSAVE and are in the Fuel and Fire section of the supermarket. Any brand is usable.

If you would like to make a donation directly into our account to help with our vet bill our details are below😽

Dear Citizens of the Brighton beaches and beyond
For those of you who follow this page, you will be well aware of the recent crime being committed upon good hardworking folks. With that (and a lot more) in mind, a group of us have set up an idea to have a "S.O.S Expo"

The purpose of the SOS Expo is to empower the citizens of the shore suburbs with knowledge on how to take care of your property, personal safety and mental health.
We aim to provide an event in which you can come and learn from experts in their areas about these important topic, as well as fostering a much needed community spirit.

We plan on this happening on March 9th, at New Brighton School from 11am to 3pm

Get information from the Police Service, Fire & Emergency, Neighbourhood Support, Civil Defence, CCC - CPTED, AMI Insurance, FBI Security, Community Patrols, St Johns, Aged Concern and more
Learn some Self Defence in one of the workshops, watch a demonstration on how the online camera apps work, or teach your family about email scams

Our goal is to get all those listed to physically attend - however those who cannot, we aim to provide information on behalf of
Watch for flyers and posters with more information - coming soon.
P.S - PLEASE get in touch if this is something you can help us with! Either as a volunteer or a contributor! We are looking for children's entertainment, food trucks, and music

The less water we use, the faster we can upgrade our wells. It all adds up, and we really appreciate people’s efforts.

The biggest demand for household water comes from garden sprinklers and irrigators. A better option is to use a hose with a spray gun, or a watering can. Better still, water only on alternate days between 9pm and 7am, when it's cooler.

The country is home to more than 560,500 registered dogs – enough for about one in nine to be a proud owner. That's a pooch for roughly every third household.
