White Shoes
Kia Ora, Salaam Alaikum and Hello,
All Souls Merivale is looking for 49 pairs of shoes. It is customary in the Islamic faith to remove your shoes before entering the Mosque.
In remembrance of the dead, and in solidarity of our Muslim brothers and sisters, we would like to gather 49 pairs of shoes to paint white and leave by the doors of All. Souls.
If anyone has shoes they can donate, please drop the off to the Church, corner of Papanui and Church Lane.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
