This month is all about bringing your community together and having a great time! We want March to be all about celebrating the connections we have while making new ones along the way. As we all know, what makes a neighbourhood great isn't the houses and cars, gardens and streets - it's the people who share their presence and aroha with each other.
A wonderful way to take part is to participate in Neighbours Day Aotearoa which is celebrating it's 10th anniversary from March 22nd to 31st. To help you get started, we love their suggestions for 10 little and 10 big ways to get involved. (link below)

Papanui High School is offering a fun, hands on and really creative weekend for people with no knowledge or experience of fabric printing, just a passion to give it a go. Taking your own design on paper through the print process to create unique printed fabrics, garments, linen, t-shirts or fabric lengths. This course will show you basic fabric and screen printing techniques, many of which can be continued at home.
This course is being held at Papanui High School for 2 days Saturday 16 March and Saturday 23 March 9 am - 4 pm at a cost of $156.

During Playcentre Awareness Week centres around the country throw open their doors so anybody who wants to visit and experience playcentre can. Some centres will be having special events.

You will learn how to prepare walls, how to use plastering tools correctly and how to skim walls. The tutor will also teach how to mix compound correctly and what undercoat to apply over plaster, the correct sandpaper to use along teaching students how to repair a hole in the wall. This course is being taught by a qualified tutor who has over 25 years experience as a painter and decorator.
