Work to install a northbound bus lane on Main North Rd between Winston Ave and Sawyers Arms Rd is nearing an end, Christchurch City Council says.
The work began at the start of this year and has taken longer than the six months originally envisaged due to Covid-19 disruptions.
The new northbound bus lane will be operational from Monday, September 28.
The pre-existing southbound bus lane on Main North Rd, previously used only during the morning peak in traffic, will now also be used during the afternoon peak as well.
Wonderland - the 1906 equivalent of a theme park - was set up in Christchurch's Hagley Park during the New Zealand International Exhibition.
It included a "most riotous" water chute, which sent people hurtling into Victoria Lake on a small boat.
NZ Sign Language is unique to our country and is one of New Zealand's three official languages, so those are some great reasons to celebrate it!

Sadly we lost one of our guinea pigs yesterday and now it’s time to find the other one a good home if possible. So if you keep piggies and are interested let me know. There is a hutch available as well but it has lots of wear and tear and needs some tlc.
This is in excellent condition, hand on heart I have only used approximately 30 times, still warranty left which you can see on the receipt photo, I paid $169
