I still currently need participants for my PhD study. I am looking for healthy people to come into my office (in Christchurch CBD) for around an hour, on two occasions, to complete some pen and paper activities with me (fun ones according to previous participants!).
Part of what we do, is to recruit healthy participants who match with the patients on age and gender. This is so we can try to rule out any effects differences in these may have on results. So far I haven’t been able to source enough men aged 40-50 to take part.
This is a volunteer opportunity, but you will also receive $50 petrol vouchers as compensation for your time and travel.
If you are interested please email me at the details on the poster (or visit the website listed) rather than commenting here as I will need to send you an information sheet to read over and go through some screening questions
Thanks!

If Horseshoe lake was cleaned up, it could be used to moor the boats and again supply spectators the opportunity to see the tight manoeuvring as they practice.
He opines that the winds should not be too much of a problem, and the opportunity for spectators to view would be supreme.
I told him not to hold his breath and suggested that if he wants more alphabet soup he had better let me win the next chess game and if he pulls that 'en passant' again he may find the chess board framed round his neck. Cheers all, pleased we won, and loved the fact there were no dirty tactics or protests like previous.

Andrew Luddington is hoping he will have a little luck when he takes on a gruelling ride from Christchurch to Akaroa, all while dressed as Darth Vader.
Luddington is preparing to transform into the Star Wars villain for the upcoming 100-kilometre Miles Continental Le Race cycle event, on an all-steel, 12-speed bike from 1978.
The 55-year-old will be among hundreds of participants at the start line on Saturday, blasting Star Wars music from a megaphone attached to his 40-year-old bike while in full Sith Lord attire.

If you have a view on tackling climate change, charging heavy water users or how rates should be spent, now is the time to let the council know.
For the next month the public can provide feedback on the council's proposed 10-year budget, known as the long-term plan.
The budget sets out a vision for how the council will spend money over the next decade, and is re-evaluated and ratified every three years.
The public can give their feedback through the council website, on the Have Your Say page, until April 18.
What suggestions would you make?
