10am 5th November
The Phillipstown Murals Walk is part of the Phillipstown Walks project.

The Phillipstown Walks is a series of free, resident-led guided walks within Phillipstown that celebrate local history and the knowledge residents hold.

This walk will focus on discovering the pieces of street art that colour the walls of many building in our neighbourhood.

This walk is organised in collaboration with Watch this Space. Reuben Woods, Watch this Space creative director (whose PhD focused on graffiti and street art within post-earthquake Christchurch) will lead our tour around Phillipstown.

Come along to learn and share stories about the Phillipstown murals and street art and connect with your neighbours.

The walk is perfect for the young, the old, those who have lived in Phillipstown for years, and our newest neighbours as well.

At the end of the walk, we will stop at the Phillipstown Community hub for a coffee or a juice while chatting about the walk and the street art in Phillipstown

The walk is about 2 km at a slow pace. If that's a possible issue, we recommend use of mobility aids.

In case of very bad weather conditions, the walk will be postponed to the following day, Sunday 6 November, same time.

To register your attendance, please use the form at the link: bit.ly...

Nourish the soil and the soil will nourish you! Healthy soil is at the very foundation of gardening success - and life itself - and this National Gardening Week Yates wants to help you grow good soil.

We’ve pulled together a bunch of ways to measure your soil health – how about planting a pair of undies to find out how healthy your soil is? Or try a quick “worm count” test, building a “compost jar” (great fun for kids) or do a food waste audit.

Plus we’ve easy to follow steps on how to turn your food scraps & garden waste into fabulous compost.

Being disabled I need someone that will remove the items from the bedroom and also assist me to unpack a new vacuum packed mattress. I can pay and estimate the job will take 30 minutes. Then dumping on top of that. The items are clean but now unusable. You will need a truck or trailer or something. I am waiting on some of the new items to arrive so am looking at late next week. Or recommendations of a very friendly service. I can afford to pay $150-$200, payment will need to be via bank transfer, plus a $50 Warehouse giftcard I won in an online draw, for doing a survey. I don't get out to shop now and can't use the card online.
